The Great Blue Hole of Belize

The Great Blue Hole, merupakan satu keajaiban lubang laut terbesar di dunia dan paling terkenal . The Great Blue Hole ini terletak di Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System,96 km dari Belize City. Lubang ini mempunyai kedalaman 125 meter dan diameter sekitar 300 meter. Terbentuk sebagai sebagai penyebab kenaikan permukaan laut sekitar 65.000 tahun yang lalu.

This site was made famous by Jacques-Yves Cousteau who declared it one of the top ten scuba diving sites in the world. In 1971 he brought his ship, the Calypso to the hole to chart its depths.
