Many patient complaint that the given food in Hospital is bad, not even worth for Human. However, a comment from ex houseman gives another interesting opinion that we can think and appreciate:

I still remember those days when I was houseman, I don't have time to buy food. And don't have much money to spend. I used to ask the PPK whether got any extra meals left.
That time, it turns out that there are alot of meal sets being rejected by patients because they claimed "Hospital food not nice." Some patients even said "These food are not meant for human to eat". "Yuck" etc etc.
But to be honest, these food which patients claimed "Not for human" were actually like a feast for a busy health workers. It's because of these leftover food, I managed to survive hunger during my Housemanship in the past.
For me, when you are hectic, food like rice + watermelon + curry chicken + vege + plain water is actually quite luxurious when you are so packed with work to do. And all you want is just something to fill up your tummy.
Of course, when you can afford to have more time, then it's a must to treat yourself something even more.
Just that I hope more people can appreciate the meals prepared by the cooks in hospital. They ain't so bad actually.
